Back to Memphis...IBC 2010

Wow, it’s been a LONG time since our last blog entry...sorry about that. We’ll try to be more up to date.

Well, the big news for the band is that we won the CT Blues Challenge this past Saturday amongst some very still competition! So...we’re headed back to Memphis for the 2010 International Blues Challenge.

We couldn’t be more excited to have another shot at experiencing the IBC and to take in the BBQ and music that only IBC in Memphis has to offer. This is the first time that Jeff will be going down with us, and that’s really exciting as well.

November 2008 update from the Blue Hearts

Hi Folks!

Wow...it’s been a long time since we’ve updated our blog!

Things have been business as usual for the Blue Hearts. We’ve been having a great time at our recent gigs, and are slowing working in some new material into the sets. Hopefully you’ve been digging it. We’re thinking about trying to get some it down on a recording soon, but nothing is set in stone. So stay tuned.

We wanted to send out a big “thank you” to everyone who voted for us in the Hartford Advocate’s “GRAND BAND SLAM” contest this year. For the third time in three years, we were voted “Best Blues Band” in Connecticut. We were very honored, and can’t thank you enough

Busy winter...new tunes

Hey folks! Just wanted to shoot out a quick “thank you” to all of you who made it out to any of our many shows we’ve had these past two months. We’ve been busy hitting lots of our old favorite clubs, as well as some new ones as well. We also the honor of sharing the stage with the great Hash Brown for our annual X-Mas gig with him.
 New tunes! We just completed putting the finishing touches on some great new original tunes, as well as some tasty covers of obscure favorites. Try to make it out to a show to check ‘em out, and let us know what you think!

This Friday, January, 18th, we’ll be joined at Harry’s by pecial guest Jeremy Berlin joins us on piano for the night. You may know Jeremy from the legendary Johnny Hoy & the Blue Fish and appearances with other New England Blues bands. Blues, Boogie Woogie, Honky Tonk, you name it he can play it.

Hi folks! Remember when we launched this brand new site a few months back and we said we’d update it all the time? Well, right after we designed it, the software we used to make it was updated, and it took us a bit of time to learn the new features. Now, we’ve learned it all, and should be updating regularly!

Lots of cool new stuff! We are at a brand-new club called the Georgetown Saloon in Redding, CT on Saturday, December 15th. This is a GREAT music room, and we really need your support to make a great impression!

This month, Eric also debuted the Eric Ducoff Band at the Griswold Inn in Essex, CT. He’s got another gig there in January. Check it out.

We also added some new pictures to the site from some recent gigs, as well as some video as well.
